SH810 Fully Automatic Petroleum Product Colorimeter is a specialized instrument designed for liquid color measurement. Featuring unique microcomputer-controlled technology, it boasts an elegant and portable design, offering both laboratory and field usability. Equipped with factory calibration and user-defined calibration functions, its sample cell design ensures ease of measurement and maintenance. The Platinum-Cobalt Colorimeter employs a D/0 measurement structure, integrating full-bandwidth light sources, single-grating optical path spectrometry, and ETC real-time calibration technologies, achieving a resolution of 0.0001, a transmittance standard deviation of less than 0.08%, and a color difference value of ΔE*ab 0.015.

The platinum-cobalt color is expressed in Hazen units, where one unit corresponds to the color of a solution containing 1 milligram of platinum (as chloroplatinate) and 2 milligrams of cobalt chloride hexahydrate per liter. The typical range is between 1 and 500 Hazen units. This method is suitable for determining the color of transparent or slightly opaque liquid chemical products with platinum-cobalt color numbers close to the reference, which usually exhibit a brown-yellow hue.

Gardner Color Scale: A standard colorimetric scale prepared by mixing cobalt chloride solution, ferric chloride solution, and potassium chloroplatinate solution in varying proportions, typically ranging from 1 to 18. It is suitable for colors that are darker yellow or more brownish than the platinum-cobalt color scale.

Saybolt (ASTM D156, GB/T 3555, NF M 07-003)

The color of jet fuel is determined according to the method specified in GB/T 3555-1992 "Determination of Color by the Saybolt Color Scale (Saybolt Colorimeter Method) for Petroleum Products," with color numbers ranging from +30 (light color) to -16 (dark color).

The color number of the fully automatic petroleum product colorimeter fully complies with the ISO standard color numbers specified in GB/T6540. After calibration with ISO standard color numbers, the instrument automatically determines the sample's color number and outputs the results.
